In the Korean culture, people give their gifts with both hands, especially to older people to show respect. However, there is another important meaning behind in two handed giving. By giving with both hands, one communicates, “I am not holding anything back. I am giving you all that I have to offer.”
Such a philosophy should permeate all of our giving whether it is to God or to others.
We teach out children to pray while holding hands folded together. This is a small gesture that should remind us of our commitment to give God all that we have and hold nothing back.
Two hands!
Have a wonderful week!
