I am summoned for jury duty tomorrow for United States District Court Northern District of California. If I am selected, this case can last up to two months. I am sure there are others things I can do then spend all they serving as one of the jurors. However, this is an honor and responsibility as a United States citizen which I am willing to fulfill.
Whoever is going to be on trial, he/she needs jurors who will be unbiased and clear in their thinking. Therefore, I pray that I will be at my best for tomorrow’s selection process. I will not try to get out of jury duty or show any form of bias toward the one being tried.
This jury duty summon reminds me of the judgement that I had to deal with before God. How thankful I am that my “sins” don’t have to be a jury trial. In fact, it has been already acquitted by Jesus Christ. Apostle Paul says in Romans 5:1, “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ”.
Lord, thank you for defending me and paying for my sin when I am “guilty”!
